“What is there to do in town”?  If you have ever heard someone make this comment or if you have ever said it yourself you will now have an easier way to find an answer.  The Minot Area Community Foundation, The Minot Area Chamber of Commerce, the Minot Park District, and VisitMinot have come together to  update Minot’s community calendar and make it user friendly from mobile devices. 
The community calendar can be found at visitminot.org and has been updated with new categories that make finding events easier as well as a date search option if you are making plans in advance.  Another new feature is an online event submission form that allows you to submit your event directly to the calendar; once it is reviewed it is immediately added to events listing.  This will be a great tool for local organizations to received exposure and free marketing of their events.
The community partners came together to help spread the message to not only new residents but also to long term citizens that Minot has a lot going on and there are many things to do in and around the area.  The new logo is designed to assist in that process and will be on all the partners’ websites linking back to the calendar of events.  This will allow visitors and residents to find out all the events happening no matter which website they visit.
