Nominees have been proposed for three-year terms on the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors beginning Oct. 1, 2013. They are Dave Bussard (Staybridge Suites), Katie Haarsager (Enbridge Pipelines North Dakota, LLC), Jeremy Becker (SRT Communications, Inc.), Randy Hauck (Verendrye Electric Cooperative), and Duane Poynter Poynter’s Ag Supply).  Bussard is the general manager for Staybridge Suites in Minot. He is a member of the Military Affairs and Honorary Commander with TEAM MINOT and Minot Air Force Base.  Bussard is active in the community.  He serves as a Junior Achievement teacher and mentor, and is a board member with Bremer's Outdoor Team and Pheasants for the Future.  He and his wife Michelle have two children, Joshua and Caitlin.  Haarsager, the Community Relations Advisor for Enbridge Pipelines (North Dakota) LLC, is a native of Mohall, and a graduate of the University of North Dakota.  She is a member of the Minot Sunrise Rotary Club and North Dakota Petroleum Council's Oil Can!, as well as a graduate and assistant for the Chamber's Community Leadership Institute.  She is also a board member of the Minot Area Council of the Arts, and a volunteer community investment advisor for the Minot Area Community Foundation. 

Becker is the director of sales at SRT Communications and a native of Ray.  Becker has worked in the telecommunications industry for 13 years, spending the last eight years at SRT.  He is a member of Minot's Young Professional Group and Give 360, an affiliate of the Minot Area Community Foundation.  He and his wife, Krista, have two children, Jace (4) and Kyle (9 months).

Hauck, serves as the member services and assistant general manager of Verendrye Electric Cooperative in Velva.  He is responsible for member service activities, marketing, communications, billing, collections and the cooperative's safety programs.  He started with Verendrye in 1984 as the member service assistant.  Hauck is a 1984 graduate of North Dakota State University.  He currently serves as chair-elect of the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Velva Community Development Corporation, and chair of the McHenry County Jobs Development Authority.  He is also a board member and past chair of the Northern Tier Federal Credit Union.  Hauck is married to Theresa and they have two children:  Danielle, who is a graduate of UND and Trevor, who is a graduate from NDSU.

 Long-time North Dakota resident Poynter has owned and operated Poynter’s Ag Supply in Sawyer, and Off Broadway Laundromat in Minot for the past 21 years with his wife, Toni. He has been active with the Chamber Ag Committee since 1982, has served as president to the Minot Public Schools Ag and FFA Advisory Group, past president of the North Dakota Agricultural Association and past advisor to the Manitoba North Dakota Zero Till Association.
