Task Force 21 schedules triad symposium in D.C.
The Minot Area Chamber’s Task Force 21 (TF 21) is preparing to host its seventh symposium on the nuclear triad on Oct. 9 in Washington DC. TF 21 Chair Mark Jantzer said, “It will be a great opportunity for our community, which is home to two legs of the triad, to stay engaged in the national debate concerning the need for the recapitalization of all three legs of the triad.”

The topic of the symposium is “The 2018 Nuclear Posture Review: Recapitalization of the Triad, Professional Nuclear Education, and a Call for Civic Engagement.”  It will be an opportunity to hear from past and present leaders of America’s nuclear forces, members of Congress, and prominent non-government experts.

We have a great line up of speakers and panelists including former Air Force Chief of Staff Larry Walsh, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy David Trachtenberg, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Matters Peter Fanta, former NNSA Administrator Frank Klotz, Air University Commandant Lt. Gen Tony Cotton, Director of Navy Strategic Systems Programs Vice Adm Johnny Wolfe, and retired Air Force Maj Gen Garrett Harencak. Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson has also been invited.
