Railroad Museum, 701-852-7091- 19 1st Street NE. Photographs and other memorabilia provide a glimpse of history and the progression of the railroad.

Old Soo Depot Transportation Museum - 15 North Main Street, 701-852-2234 This museum is a restored 1912 Soo Line Depot, one of the finest ever built. Its focus is on all aspects of transportation history of the American West, including railroads, automobiles, buses, and aviation.

Ward County Historical Museum, 701-839-0785 - 2005 Burdick Expressway East. This museum features a collection of preserved and restored historic buildings and items of interest from our past.

Lillian and Coleman Taube Museum of Art, 701-838-4445 - 2 Main St N, A wide range of exhibits and activities including visual arts, educational programs, cultural and social events. Open Tuesday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Northwest Art Center, MSU, 701-858-3264, Galleries in Hartnett Hall and the Gordon B. Olson Library feature student and faculty exhibits, as well as the work of visiting artists. Lectures, critiques and workshops from artists are presented regularly.

62 Doors, 11B South Main, 701-720-7463; features many gallery openings with art from local and area talent.

Artspace, 3 Main Street South Ste, a gallery by the Turtle Mountain Tribal Arts Association for the exhibition and sale of works by Chippewa, Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara and Sioux Artists. The Minot Artspace Lofts have 24 units of affordable live/work space where artists can create, increase their income and establish roots in Minot.
