Members Proposed for Chamber Board
Nominees have been proposed for three-year terms on the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors beginning Oct. 1, 2018. They are Randy Schwan, (Trinity Health) Missy Feist Erickson (Peoples State Bank), Shannon Webster (Town & Country Credit Union), Dan Sem (Dakota Agronomy), and Tadd DeMars (FMI).

Schwan is a vice president at Trinity Health, where he has worked since 1995. A Minot native, he had a successful law enforcement career after graduating from Minot High School, serving with agencies in Minot and Williston.  He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Minot State University in 1993 and graduated in 1995 from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business with a master's in business administration.

Schwan is a past president of Minot's Sunrise Rotary and serves on a number of boards for area nonprofit and church organizations. His family includes his wife of 37 years, Lynn, their three grown children, and four grandchildren. Lynn is employed with Minot Public Schools.

Feist Erickson is vice president of Peoples State Bank in Minot, where she has worked since 2009. She is the current treasurer for the Chamber of Commerce board, and serves as a Chamber Ambassador and Junior Achievement volunteer. In the community, Feist Erickson is also the current president and a charter member of Women United, an affinity group of the United Way. She is an Advisory Board Member for Minot High School's FACS program, a member of ICBNDÕs Emerging Leaders Development Program, and a board member appointed by the governor for the Commission on the Status of Women.

She graduated from NDSU with degrees in business administration and fashion merchandising. In her free time, she helps her husband, Arlo, with his ranching and rodeo bull company. They have two children, Ace and Emma.

Webster is the Chief Marketing Officer at Town & Country Credit Union, a position she has held for six years.  She previously served as the Marketing Director at the North Dakota State Fair from 2008 - 2012.
Originally from Minot, Webster is a graduate of the University of North Dakota where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing and later an MBA. In July 2015, she earned the designation of Certified Credit Union Executive from the Credit Union National Association.  

Webster is a member of the Minot Young Professionals and Minot Area Professional Communicators.  She and her husband, Jason, have two young children: Cole and Cora.

Dan Sem is the general manager for Dakota Agronomy Partners. He has worked for 26 years in business agriculture, including grain, agronomy and livestock.  Sem was a one-year appointee to the Chamber board last year. In the community, he serves on area boards for Minot Hockey Boosters and Pheasants for the Future. He also serves on the Chamber's AgriBusiness Committee.

He received his college education at both Dickinson State and Minot State. He and his wife Sarah have raised three daughters in Minot.
Minot native Tadd DeMars is president at FMI (Food Management Investors). He has been with the company since 2006.

Demars was a one-year appointee to the board last year. He completed the CLI program through the Chamber of Commerce, and is also very involved in Bishop Ryan Catholic Schools, currently serving as the president of the Special Events Committee (formerly Booster Club). He graduated from Minot State University with a degree in finance. He also enjoys volunteer coaching for the many different activities in which his children are involved.  He and his wife Jody, also a Minot native, have three children: Olivia, Violet, and Leo, as well as three dogs.
